Wray is a Boston Terrier on a mission. He’s howled outside hundreds of homes, snoozed on slews of sofas, and sniffed for the scent of savings ─ energy savings. Homeowners with Window Depot USA triple pane windows couldn’t hear his cries. Naps on couches inside of triple pane homes were comfortable ─ almost too comfortable. And best of all, the energy savings converted to monetary savings, and Wray was able to pay his way through training school … twice!

With emphasis on noise reduction, comfort and energy savings, it’s safe to say that Wray discovered the best triple pane replacement windows in America. Although his mission has been accomplished, Wray is still on the never-ending quest to show the world why three panes are better than two.

Follow Wray on his future adventures and discover what triple pane can do for you!

Here at Window Depot USA, we believe we’re America’s Best Choice for energy efficient replacement window products. One of the main reasons, is that we consistently sell advanced Triple Pane windows at the same prices our national competitors charge for dual pane.

Our flagship products are the Signature Series GOLD and Platinum packages, featuring three panes of glass, warm edge non-metal spacers, Low E coatings and insulating gas fills. And now…our Platinum PLUS package has qualified for Energystar’s MOST EFFICIENT.

Energystar Most Efficient Products are NOW AVAILABLE

This year, our manufacturing partner, Vista Window Company, has been selected to the prestigous “Most Efficient” list by Energystar. An honor that most replacement window companies cannot attain…this distinction shows why they’re our choice as a national partner.

According to the Energystar website:

The ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2013 designation recognizes the most efficient products among those that qualify for the ENERGY STAR. These exceptional products represent the leading edge in energy efficient products this year.

You can learn more about this program at Energystar.gov, including the criteria for selection.

Former U.S.DOE “R5″ Program

The Most Efficient program by Energystar actually replaces the Volume Purchase Program (sometimes referred to as the “R5″ program) that was started by the U.S. Dept of Energy. This program formerly recognized window companies that could produce a window with a U Factor of 0.22 or less. These highly insulating windows had U Factors that out-performed standard dual pane windows by up to 40%.

Our MOST EFFICIENT Windows are even better that the “R5″ program, which used to be the gold standard.

The Most Efficient distinction means that our Platinum PLUS package windows achieve at least 0.20 U Factor. In fact, they perform even better! This incredible measure of efficiency is WELL beyond the Energystar criteria for 2014.

You know that you need new replacement windows, and you have an idea of what local contractors you need to call. You know that a few guys, or women, will come to your home to demonstrate your future windows, and they’ll give you a quote for the product and installation. At the end of the appointment you are normally asked if you have any questions; this is your chance to turn the tables and interview your contractor.

Many homeowners don’t realize that interviewing your contractor is just as important as every other portion of your appointment. Your contractor promises you the moon and stars when selling their product, and for dishonest contractors, this is typically an easy gig since the majority of people know virtually nothing about replacement windows. The sad reality is that some contractors prey upon your ignorance to their product and use it to their advantage. In order to spot the bad eggs, you need to be prepared with thought-provoking questions to ask during your interview.

Common questions that reflect topics such as warranty and price are expected, but the questions we are referring to emphasize honesty and ethics. You want to be sure that you are hiring the right person to do the job; after all, businesses are operated by people, and people are not always honest.

Here are three simple questions to help separate the scammers from the pros:

1. Have you ever felt uncomfortable about a sale, AFTER you sold to someone?

2. Have you ever seen your company or installers take short cuts on the job, and NOT stepped in on behalf of your customer?

3. We’’ve all made errors of judgment; is there one job that comes to mind where your company really dropped the ball on a homeowner, and did NOT do everything in their power to make it right?
